The touch screens will only accept debit or credit cards, adding to the slow death knell of cash and coins. This all goes along with an overall revamp of McDonald's restaurants worldwide aimed at projecting a modern image as opposed to the old-fashioned golden arches with a slightly creepy (to my taste anyway) clown guy hanging around the french fries.

Ok, Chang burger cookers to order takers. Still real classy test
I have been to a fast food place in El Paso, TX that uses a touch screen- they were doing it a couple years ago. It was not a McDonald’s but I can’t remember what it was. Everyone was using it without issue- I used it without issue. I have no problem with fast food places automating, I have expected them to and bet it will happen pretty fast with minimum wage going up.
nope, just with that comment
So, and I’ve been here since around 1997...different names, different personas. Just coming back from a rather long hiatus. There’s a bunch of mes, all over the place, some comment, some don’t.
It’s freepelitists like you, that bring out the comments like I made. Playing math games with service personnel so you can talk about them on an anonymous forum and calling people noobs, are some examples.
Thanx for taking the time to look me up.
You can’t hire them, you either buy, lease, rent, or steal them!
You are a realist, aren’t you?
Whack-a-mole, brother.
But I think you got one of them.
lol
Worse. I’m a Security Practicioner. So I look for vulnerabilities and workarounds automatically. . .
Ha! That there is funny all right.
I don’t see a problem, but thanks for thinking of me.
Null and void, you’re too smart to be doing day labor. I can’t believe you’re having to consider that option. I’ll tell you something I did one time that landed me a job when I was in a tight spot. I looked up home remodelers in the phone book and just went down the list cold calling them, asking if they needed help. I had never done carpentry or construction professionally, but I was always pretty handy and knew I could learn quickly. Probably the sixth or seventh place I called the guy hired me. He started me off with some pretty menial stuff but within a few months I was one of his lead guys and taking on some pretty interesting projects. I ended up working that job for two years and gained all kinds of useful skills from it. Anyway, moral of the story is that not everyone who has a position to fill is advertising it, but those opportunities are out there if you’re willing to beat the bushes some. The phone book can be sort of like a menu for prospects, helpfully organized by profession.
