I have seen some of the articles, in fact one of these incidents occurred in Texas not far from where I live. But that occurred in an apartment complex with corporate ownership where residents have no say about the rules. Our local VFW and Republican groups did mount a call and protest campaign against them though for not allowing both the American and Texas flags to be flown.

Our HOA board is elected by the residents of our housing sub-division. About five years ago the residents voted out all the members of the old board and we wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. It wasn’t about flags or Christmas decorations though, it was about the cost of dues and how the money was being spent.
