Benghazi: When America Switched Sides In The War On Terror And Armed Al-Qaida
Daily Caller ^ | 08/17/2014 | Ginni Thomas

Posted on 08/17/2014 7:21:25 PM PDT by Rusty0604

The Center for Security Policy’s Vice President for Research and Analysis, Clare Lopez, says in this exclusive video interview with The Daily Caller that very few have seemed to care that America switched sides in the global war on terror when President Obama deposed an erstwhile ally in the Middle East and provided weapons to al-Qaida and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Focusing on this under-reported, critical shift in American foreign policy, Clare Lopez discusses how an American ambassador and others were killed in Benghazi on the anniversary of 9/11 because the Obama administration decided to promote and defend their narrative that “al-Qaida was on the run,” even as we were outright arming militants affiliated with the terrorist group.

To her, the American decision to overthrow the head of a sovereign government, Muammar al-Gaddafi, and to instead support al-Qaida and the Muslim Brotherhood laid the important framework for a resurgence of global jihad.

Lopez says when we supported the local Islamic forces, America flipped in the global war on terror and we, the U.S. government, turned on our erstwhile ally and provided funding, backing, intelligence, our participation in a NATO effort and weapons for rebel forces.

“We facilitated the flow of weapons to the Gaddafi opposition, and we knew the opposition was dominated by al-Qaida. It was led by the Muslim Brotherhood and the fighting militia was dominated by al-Qaida. That’s who we helped,” she explained.

Lopez ends by bringing viewers back to the fall of 2012. When the reality of the Benghazi attack came to light due to Judicial Watch’s “smoking gun email,” we now know the Obama administration scurried to promote a narrative that did not challenge the President’s reelection mantra “Osama bin Laden is dead and al-Qaida is on the run.”

Not when America switched sides, when obama turned traitor and armed our enemies.

Obama whacked Gaddafi. Sec. of State Hillary Clinton chortled: “WE came, WE saw, HE DIED hahaha!”

This for a war crime torture, abuse, and murder of a POW. “Don’t shoot! Don’t shoot!”

Barry bragged at the United Nations that his “third way” to foreign policy accomplished regime change without the loss of a single American life.

“MISSION ACCOMPLISHED”

Treason, plain and simple. I wonder what the ‘conservative’ House will do about it?

When they get back from vacation, of course.

That’s the only case he kept his word that I can think of, except maybe “fundamentally transforming this nation”.

Is Obama invoking the field-tested, Clinton-Obama Benghazi Rule for the US to not prevent the ongoing genocide of Christians, and Yazidis in current US Ally Iraq?

BTW, the Clinton-Obama Benghazi Rule is as follows:

“1.) ALWAYS STAND DOWN WHEN MUSLIMS ATTACK,
2.) WAIT FOR THE MUSLIMS TO FINISH THEIR BLOOD SPORT KILLING, AND
3.) THEN DO NOTHING.”

America may have “changed sides.” Barack Hussein certainly didn’t.

Thank you, my thoughts exactly as soon as I saw the headline, and I'm only too happy someone beat me to posting it.

See my tagline and copy it wherever you can. It cannot be repeated often or loud enough!!!

America and Europe are in trouble. The layperson just can’t see this yet.

We (the US) are looking for quick and easy solutions in order to disengage. These issues are dealt with in a limited response approach and we avoid escalation. Every course of action chosen is the lowest risk option, not the one of highest gain. We are dealing with many of these threats as if they can be managed and contained. Rhetoric and polemics are dispensed in great amounts, as if these are solutions in and of themselves.

Isolationism is a pipe dream that does not work and today our entire security focus is defensive. Conflicts are not won through the defense, at best this long terms achieves a stalemate. The boxer unwilling to punch back, at best can hope not to get knocked out, but he will never win. While it sounds like an oxymoron/contradiction or euphemism, you can go on the offense in a defensive war, either by first strike or territory fought on. It is by going on the offense where one gains the initiative, defines the battle-space, gains a psychological advantage, and ultimately can bring about a positive ending.

We will see the fruits of the American and European unwillingness to really deal with these threats soon enough. The great walls of Constantinople, that is our solution; through a massive intelligence apparatus, organizations like DHS/TSA, rolling back civil liberties, we have created a modern day version. Do I need to explain what happened to those walls?

This cannot end good.

What I worry about is how he has treated our ally Israel. Even though it isn’t the American people that have turned on them, will they ever be able to trust that America will not elect another traitor?

Benghazi is proof of the treachery against the USA that exists in the obozo WH and it includes Hillary Clinton. The fact that the congress allowed it and has yet to act on the crime of treason that clearly emanates from this WH proves congress is complicit in treason against the United States of America. When no governing authority acts to uphold our law it is left to the people to act and to form a militia to exact justice on the traitors within.

Ms. Thomas does a service in trying to refocus attention on what the Gaddafi overthrow was actually all about. But the people who need to have their eyes opened regarding the role of the Muslim Brotherhood in the present administration don't know what "erstwhile" means, and the greater majority of them have insufficient attention available to even begin sitting through one video segment, let alone two.

More and more, we are "the media." The Captive Press, in this case represented by the no less than three memory-hogging video advertisements that auto-render and start shouting at the reader early at this link can't squeeze what needs to be said over the noise.

It's a story that needs to be told. Still, the present administration depends on Ginni Thomas and the rest of us like her ultimately failing to break the "attention barrier."

Not that I do not praise her brave attempt; she both means well and makes a brave effort, but the effort here is almost completely useless.

Please pardon the river of tears. There should be no crying but ... There sometimes exists a sadness coupled with a need to be sailing down/across the river a hundred miles or more. America needs to cross this river. It is only a hundred miles or more.

If Hillary had gotten her way ISIS would be in Damascus today slaughtering Christians and raping the women and children.

http://www.wnd.com/2014/08/has-hillary-ever-been-right/

The valkyrie of the Democratic Party says she urged President Obama to do more to aid Syrian rebels years ago. And last summer, she supported air strikes on Bashar Assad’s regime.

Had we followed her advice and crippled Assad’s army, ISIS might be in Damascus today, butchering Christians and Alawites and aiding the Islamic State in Iraq in overrunning Baghdad.
