Today's feature is a classic film noir featuring Republican superstar Barbara Stanwyck as a femme fatale ever more viperish than her Phyllis Dietrichson from "Double Indemnity"(1946). Kirk Douglas makes his film debut as her alcoholic, weak willed and dominated husband while Van Heflin plays a man out of the past who they fear may know their deep dark criminal secret.

Yay!!! My very first film noir I ever saw. Highly recommended, and you gotta love Barbara Stanwyck.

I saw Barbara Stanwyck in “The Lady Eve” with Henry Fonda recently. Very funny and entertaining.
