I agree with you Fester. When I was about that age (13-14) my sister in law bought me a Maryland Is For Crabs tee shirt when we were in Ocean City, MD. Looked just like this one:
Pretty innocuous or so I thought until the some of the neighborhood boys started making some lewd comments. After that my mother wouldnt let me wear it outside of the house live alone to school. Even back in the late 70s in a Maryland public school, we were not allowed to wear logod tee shirts or any tee shirts of any kind for that matter.
Urban Outfitters claimed that the shirt in no way referred to the Kent State incident and that the coloring was some sort natural dye. Yeah, right. The dye just happened to form three bullet holes and look like blood.
