Cooked and picked squirrel looks like chicken. The texture is more like beef. I chop up all the meat for bbq. Squirrel has all the same parts as a deer or a cow - tenderloin, shoulder, hams, brisket, flank, neck. They are fastidiously clean inside and out. I’ve only run across two with the botfly larvae. Some have tons of fat inside and others have none. Females are generally larger than males. Male’s testicles can be enormous. What? When you kill and eat 500 squirrels, you see stuff.
