Radio Shack opening makes sense. They sell a lot of the stuff people might use in around-the-house electornoics projects.
Disgusting. We won’t be shopping at the stores open on Thanksgiving.
The way all of the businesses have gone full bore into Christmas sales this past week. Black Friday is becoming a lost cause for those still having Black Friday Sales.
Radio Shack is a corporate dead man walking. The staying open Thanksgiving sounds like a Hail Mary.

Same here. I love Thanksgiving, it hasn’t yet been too commercialized and is a day set aside to spend with family thanking God for His provision in the previous year.
The first time I remember when a store opened Thanksgiving was the now defunct electronics store Crazy Eddie’s 20 years ago and that company went out of business soon after. The next time was around 7 years ago when CompUSA opened at 9 pm Thanksgiving. I tried to get in line for a dirt cheap computer and there were local TV news crews on scene. I showed up too late to get one of the limited vouchers and went home without going into the store.
So they can be empty then too?

They have some nice geeky parts and such, way too overpriced.
Their stores these days are vacant of shoppers. I guess they gotta do something.
Radio Shack is now primarily a cell phone store that just so happens to have those drawers in the back with electrical components.
If you are not buying a phone, they have no interest in you.
I even have to explain to some of them about the drawers, and what their contents are used for.
They oftentimes have no idea.
Why? I can’t remember the last time I saw a Radio Shack advertisement.
The internet killed the need for brick and mortar electronic parts business.

I don’t understand many things. One of which is how many people really want to go shopping on Thanksgiving Day.

I am speechless. If you the customer have to explain to the hired help what items they have, and what they are used for, I can see why this company is in trouble. It makes you wonder about the quality of hired help they have working there, and about what kind of training they give their hired help.
