The MSM is doing the best they can to inflame the situation, but it's not nearly as distressing as “metrosexuals” such as Shep Smith would have us believe (Thousands of protesters in Times Square when I could see barely a hundred, if not less).
The protests that broke out in Ferguson when this first happened were far more involved than the “chaos” we are now witnessing.
The professional rabble rousers are doing their due diligence in Ferguson, but their influence and impact are minimal in comparison to protests of past, IMO.

You’re really wrong about Times Square. It’s easily thousands. A splinter group just marched down Thompson St downtown (roughly parallel to seventh Ave) and that was clearly several hundred protesters.
They chanted but were otherwise well behaved.
