What is wrong with flannel shirts and sensible shoes? You ever try cleaning a chicken coop in heels? Or digging in the garden? Or standing for 8 hours canning food? Or chasing a small child? Flannel and good shoes are a must when living in the forest and rurally.
My husband finds me rather fetching in my work boots, flannel shirt over my crop-top and blue jeans. He does call me “hillbilly”, with love, when I wear overalls.
