Oklahoma is an odd state. We vote Conservative more than any other state. But:

1. You can buy 3.2 beer in a grocery, but no wine, alcohol or regular beer

2. A wine and liquor store cannot sell cold beer, or anything that doesn't contain alcohol - no bottle openers, tonic water, or snacks.

3. Until a few years ago, tattoo shops were illegal

4. You may only own one liquor store

Cracker in a hoodie—write the ticket. AA in the hoodie—”Have a nice day!”

I bought spray paint for two giggling teen girls once, in a Walmart line. They were dressed neatly, told me what they wanted it for, but were not allowed to buy it by Walmart. It was early May in GA, they were making a sign for graduation, which is in late May here.
I said I’ll buy it. The clerk was offended that I would do this, obviously every teen was a criminal just waiting to happen but I told her I was an adult and I wanted to buy it and if she had a problem, to call the manager. She reluctantly sold it to me and I handed it over to them outside the store.

Reason #2 was probably why reason #1.

I put my hood up when it’s very cold to run out to the car or into a store and then take it down.

Why?

I cannot be fully situation-ally aware with it up.

Koro: DSM-IV

Koro is a culture-specific syndrome in which an individual has an overpowering belief that his or her genitals (e.g., penis or female nipples) are retracting and will disappear, despite the lack of any true longstanding changes to the genitals.[1] Koro is also known as shrinking penis syndrome.

OK, I need to know (just in case I’m ever in OK) where do you buy real beer?

A liquor store. There are many with great selections.

The other stupid law is that you cannot have wine shipped into alcohol. This really s**ks. Some of my favorite wines are simply not available in the state.

Standard winter wear here in the north. Carhartts and hoodies.

I got a new Carhartt insulated hoodie from my sister for Christmas.

We used to call them sweat jackets or work out jackets. I have several as I work outdoors and they are warm, help block wind and lite rain. WTF is this crap? If my state of Ohio passed this garbage, I`d wear one just to get fined then fight this in court, and maybe make some money in a big fat lawsuit, (since it`s all these Nazi-types understand).

Triggered memories. In early ‘70s, I spent a couple of days in Denton TX (alcohol dry) visiting my younger sister and her boyfriend (still married) at NTSU, now UNT. Had to drive to Henrietta OK to buy beer for a two day visit!

None of those things are against (social) conservatism. Against fiscal conservatism, yes, but not against social.
