Colts fan here. Never in his all healthy years here do I recall a 4th and long for the game where a dump off short of the line to gain to a RB up the middle was called.
The Colts played extremely well today. They overperformed.
Manning wasn’t the only problem Denver had, the whole team played pretty bad. They had a few good defensive stops, but for the most part, they never got it together.
Manning should probably retire. He is a fine person and has so many options for his future. I figure the Colts let him go knowing he only had a couple years left at the top of his game. They were lucky to get Luck.
Last year in the Super Bowl he was scared to throw the ball on third down and short. I knew then that Manning didn’t have very long left as a quarterback. We all get old and yesterday he aged about 20 years.
