Hardest of all to be a lifelong Lions Fan (tm). Honolulu Blue koolaid stains on couch and carpet.
Sounds like it was a fruitful practice scrimmage then.
agreed. its becoming painfully obvious that the NFL may be bought and sold - the games determined beforehand. Plus any real problems “fluffed” away. Take all the pats cheating scandals for example. it is ongoing, nothing ever really done - because they somehow have more control of the nfl or they make the nfl more money. On rare occassions “they” will let a smaller market team win just to make it look all aboveboard. But as the years go by it becomes more apparent that major league sports are like wrestling. The nfl should have their tax exempt status revoked.
The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord.
low grade reaction by a bunch of low grade thugs.
Yes dumb call. But it could have easily gone the other way. That was a heads-up play by Butler. Perfect timing on his part. One split second earlier, it would’ve been interference. One split second later, it would’ve been a touchdown. He read it perfectly.
Yep
only 7 teams. And only Pittsburgh has done it twice.
Maybe not, but, I’m almost sure that God cares about baseball - just read the first line of Genesis ——”in the big inning,” (beginning for those who may not catch this).
Sure there is.
Just call it the "Pelosi Play".
I think the whole “prevent defense” thing is the most stupid defensive tactic ever.
I heard this morning the the Patriots practiced defending the slant pass on the goal line this week and that Butler got burned then.
The play called was the play called, and Seattle's (young but impressive) QB threw an interception which was essentially game over. Lynch.... coulda, woulda, might-have, who knows? Maybe he would have been tackled fora loss, maybe he would have fumbled. The Seahawks played it mighty close the last two games and came up just a tad short. I think they have built a team that will regularly contend. Their top receiver last night came off the practice squad in December! Better luck next year!
Why did the Patriot DB try to run out f the end zone? If he went down in the end zone it would have been a touch back.
Red Right 88
How about the brawl that erupted, starting with the Seahawks, when they and the Patriots did that snap right at the endzone as the last seconds to the game ran down!!!
Pete Carroll had a Will Muschamp moment.
Should have gone with the 65 Toss Power Trap.
It used to be axiomatic that if you have to put the ball up fifty times, you lose. The game has really changed. I have to hand it to the Patriots: in succession, they beat the Ravens while rushing for less than 20 yards (?!) and without sacking Joe Flacco; manhandled the Colts; and picked apart the vaunted Seattle D. If not for those two Brady picks, the Patriots would have won going away.
Russell Wilson gave him the ball. God didn't.
And if the Seahawks' coaching staff was capable of brain synapse, the outcome yesterday could easily have been much different.
I said that same thing. If he would have just kneeled down, the Pats would have had the ball at the 20 yard line.
As to why? probably adrenalin.
