I didn't watch the game and have no interest in who won. But what's the fuss? Give the ball to a fullback, watch him get stacked up at the line or fumble, and the very same people who are complaining this morning would still be complaining, on the grounds that a run up the middle was the most predictable play in football and the coach should have called something safe, like a short pass.

20/20 hindsight is a wonderful thing.

The quarterback threw a bad ball. It happens. Running backs fumble on the goal line. It happens. It happens everywhere, with some regularity, save for one place, and that is in the fantasy football world buried deep in the minds of Monday morning quarterbacks.

They had what, 20 seconds left? And one timeout. It makes sense in that it allowed for three plays. Pass and complete, touchdown. Pass and incomplete, stop the clock. Then you have two chances to run it in with your one timeout remaining. But the results turned out disastrously.

I wouldn’t blame Lynch if he started looking around for another team to play for, there would be a lot of teams who would snap him up.

Jackie Smith (SB 13 dropped pass), Earnest Byner (88 AFC Championship fumble), Tony Romo (2007 playoff XP fumble), and Brett Favre (2010 NFC Championship interception) all agree - that decision was the worst play they’ve ever seen.

As soon as Wilson dropped back, I knew what was going to happen. The Universe punishes such stupidity quickly and harshly.

Great game! I’ll bet Packer fans slept well last night after seeing the Hawks blow a 10 point lead. Some of these coaches are great at out managing themselves.

Must really stink being a Seahawks fan.

Indeed. Two weeks ago, it was really hard to be a Green Bay Packers fan.

Obviously the Patriots cheated. They hypnotized Wilson with dreams of deflated on the down low.

Only 2 justifiable calls there.

Lynch up the middle, or spread the field and send Russell Wilson sprinting for the corner of the end zone as fast as he can go.

The Seahawks shouldn’t cry about it, the Packers should be Super Bowl Champs anyway.

It was the stunning reality of the worst offensive and best defensive play in Superbowl history.

Well, the game turned out to be one of the greatest super bowls of all time, just falling short of the 1984 epic super bowl. Those were the days...

Must really stink being a Seahawks fan

Like Green Bay fans two weeks earlier, Seattle knows how to snatch Defeat from the jaws of Victory, but it will build character.

New England fans don't need to build character. They've got another Lombardi Trophy....

Yes … dumb call. But it could have easily gone the other way. That was a heads-up play by Butler. Perfect timing on his part. One split second earlier, it would’ve been interference. One split second later, it would’ve been a touchdown. He read it perfectly.

We had it,’’ Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin said. “I don’t know how you don’t give it to the best back in the league on not even the 1-yard line? We were on the half-yard line and we throw a slant. I don’t know what the offense had going on, what they saw. I just don’t understand.’’

The play called was the play called, and Seattle's (young but impressive) QB threw an interception which was essentially game over. Lynch.... coulda, woulda, might-have, who knows? Maybe he would have been tackled fora loss, maybe he would have fumbled. The Seahawks played it mighty close the last two games and came up just a tad short. I think they have built a team that will regularly contend. Their top receiver last night came off the practice squad in December! Better luck next year!
