Obama condemns those who seek to 'hijack religion'
WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama condemned those who seek to use religion as a rationale for carrying out violence around the world, declaring Thursday that "no god condones terror." "We are summoned to push back against those who would distort our religion for their nihilistic ends," Obama said during remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast. He singled out the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria, calling the militants a "death cult," as well as those responsible for last month's terror attacks in Paris and deadly assault on a school in Pakistan. Among those attending the annual gathering of politicians, dignitaries and faith leaders was the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism. As with the Dalai Lama's past visits to Washington, his attendance at Thursday's breakfast drew criticism from Beijing, which sees him as an anti-Chinese separatist because of his quest for greater Tibetan autonomy.

I have a different take even though Obummers alignment with Islam is a great point.
I am wondering if he could expound on where it is that these “radicals” are deviating from the teachings of their religion. If he so eloquently wants to say they have hijacked it, tell us where it is they are wrong according to the teaching of Islam?
Slavery also existed among the American Indians long before Columbus came to this hemisphere. The fact is that the European bought the Black slaves in the African ports that were captured and sold by Muslims slave traders. Between the 8th and 19th century, 10 to 18 million slaves were captured and sold by Arab slave traders. Were Christians the ones who first fought against that depraved institution.
It is despicable Obama’s silence while the United Nations denounced the savagery of the followers of Islam.

He doesn’t condemn those who seek to outlaw Christianity in this country. In fact, he’s leading the charge.
Obviously, Islam is NOT peaceful regardless of his lies and the lies of George Bush. Islam is about as peaceful as the pagan worship of the Norse gods of war.
The only distortion of Obama’s Islam that is going on is from political correctness about moderate Muslims. Terrorists represent pure Islam, what all Muslims stand for, including Obama.
