I vaguely think I saw some the Chronicles, don’t know the other one at all.

No Science Team Ninja Gatchaman (Battle of the Planets)?

Wel, LLA is basically Lancer’s story. It goes into some detail about his mission with the REF 1st Expedition’s attempt to liberate Earth from the Invid. It also has a rather interesting twist at the end.

Thanks for the update. Lancer was one I learned to like as Scott Bernard & co. progressed.

I will have to look for it.

What are your favorite characters from Robotech? In general and series particular?

Taking in all three series and in no real order:

Roy Fokker
Lisa Hayes
Admiral Gloval
Max Sterling
Mirya Sterling
Bridge Bunnies
Claudia Grant

Dana Sterling
Nova Sattori
Marie Crystal
Louie Nichols
General Emerson

Scott Bernard
Rook Bartley
Lancer
Lunk

Rick Hunter, Minmei, Annie, and zor really didn’t do much for me.

Macross: Rick, Max, Lisa, Miriya, Bridge Bunnies, Rico, Konda, Bron.
Masters: Dana, Angelo, Bowie, Marie, Musica, Zor Prime was ok, IMO.
New Generation: Scott, Lancer, Rand, Rook, Sera

What’s your favorite villain? Mine’s Khyron, though Corg is also good.

Khyron 1st.

Honorable mentions (since they changed views) Breetai and Exedore.

I’ve been enjoying them, like Lay’s potato chips. I got to episode 3 before being subjected to arts and culture downtown.

My local station that ran it had it on a 230 or 3 before school let out. Summer was the only time I got to watch it.

Robotech was a happy accidental discovery. I had an old black and white TV which was a hand me down. It could pick up stuff that the main one with the big external antenna couldn’t.

It was weak and grainy but old WAXA 40 ran Robotech after school.

With regard to Scott, who do you prefer? The original Marlene, or Ariel? Also, with regard to Lancer, Carla or Sera?

PS, are you familiar with the McKinney books?

Put me in the Marlene camp. Ariel was interesting though.

Carla I would have to look up since I don’t remember her at all.

I read a few of the McKinney books and saw one of them around here a few years ago.

Glad to talk to another fan.

Carla was in The Secret Route, she was the girl who took Lancer in following the ill-fated attempt by Mars Division to liberate the Earth.

http://robotech.wikia.com/wiki/Carla

http://www.robotech.com/infopedia/episodes/viewepisode.php?episode=71

It was the episode where Annie briefly leaves the team to go with a family who had a map that they bought which supposedly told of a secret route that would lead them safely away from the Invid.

Those links helped. It’s been more years than I like to think since I’ve seen Robotech.

Carla would have probably been a dead end character.

Rook had way more going.

I finished the whole run that was there. A very good remake. I am glad that the captain and Sanada got more screen time. The information officer and the pilot from accounting were nice additions.
