We just got one today. Too early for a full review. but for you DSLR folks, you should really give one of these superzooms a second look.
My wife is a birder and starting to take photography more seriously. She just entered several pictures in a photo contest at a upcoming birding festival.
We just set the new camera up on a tripod in the living room. I am zooming across the river to an Adirondack chair at my neighbors. (about 200 yards) the top 1/3 of the chair fills the screen.
For less than the cost of a single lens on a DSLR you can have a great all around camera.
