Having positioned himself nicely with social conservatives, he strikes while the iron is hot, and moves out in front with foreign policy conservatives. The others are going to be playing catch-up all primary season long, wondering why they aren’t able to gain any traction.
He is going to be going up against the combined might of: the media, the education establishment, hollywood (and the rest of the “entertainment” complex), the chamber of commerce, the wall street-dc axis (and the rest of the crony capitalism beneficiaries), the Democrats, most of the Republican establishment, and most special interest groups. In spite of this, it is hard not to believe that he has a very real chance.
Yes, he is fighting an incredibly formidable battle. I am praying he succeeds. I think there are a lot of voters and potential voters who are starting to realize our country is in real trouble if we don’t get back to our roots.
