Roseanne Barr has revealed that she is slowly going blind.
The comedic actress said smoking marijuana is "good medicine" for relieving the pressure in her eyes.
"It's something weird. But there are other weird things. That one's harsh, 'cause I read a lot, and then I thought, 'Well, I guess I could hire somebody to read for me and read to me.' But I like words and I like looking. You do what you have to do. I just try and enjoy vision as much as possible -- y'know, living it up.
Barr also defended her use of pot, saying, "It's expansive. It opens your mind" and "It makes you wonder. It doesn't close that down."
The actress attended the Tribeca Film Festival in support of her documentary "Roseanne for President!"

Same here. The older I get and the more bad things happen to me and loved ones the less I wish them on almost anyone.

Having had a great aunt who went blind from glaucoma, I sympathize with Barr. It doesn’t change my opinion about her in other respects (and that opinion is highly negative), but this is a tough deal.

I hope this is merely a manifestation of her on-going nuttiness rather an actual affliction. I hope she retains her sight.
