Um exactly how is this "the new Microsoft"?

Porting their MS centric tools over to other OSs, with much of the windows functionality missing?

A truly reformed MS would ditch their proprietary power shell for a POSIX compliant shell.

Methinks this is more of "Lucy and the football".

The "old Microsoft" wouldn't have been the least bit interested in helping you manage those Linux boxes. They'd be telling you that you need to rip them out and replace them with Windows servers.
