The former promise was uttered during Senator Obama’s initial run for the presidency. It was intended for consumption by his anti-war base and to let the world know the zero-sum worldview of the Reagan-Bush era was (finally) extinguished. The latter was not intended for public consumption but was nevertheless captured by omnipresent audio during an unguarded moment between the two principals. Both statements genuinely reflect the baseline foreign-policy values and reflexive passivity of our 44th president.

No question this is a malicious man, but he lacks the background and intelligence to carry out such a plan on his own. It’s the anti-Western malice of the people backing him that disturbs me.
I’m not embarrassed to be an American, rather I am embarrassed to have this person as president of America.

I agree with the first part of your statement but I dare say this man is not stupid. Thinking he is, plays right into his hands.
Obama knows exactly what he is doing and even telegraphed his intentions before his first election. Remember this quote? "We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America [into another third world sh*thole]." He knew then what he was going to do to destroy the US and lately, he has only accelerated his efforts to bring America to her knees.
Some of us picked up on that statement and feared what Obama would do to change the already greatest nation on the face of the earth but stood by helplessly as he was elected. Others were mesmerized by his rhetoric and speeches and his "blackness" and that message he telegraphed, went right over their heads. Now six and a half years later, he has kept his promise and is working hard to pull the final bit of rug out from under a proud and free nation before he leaves office. If Hillary is elected, she will tack hard to the left and drive the final nails into the coffin that he built for this country . No doubt about it.
I fear for our future. May God help America.
