Featuring a mix of Rock hits and marijuana themed programming, KBUD will also air the syndicated Bubba The Love Sponge in mornings. The station is focusing on the niche of weed smokers in the first state to legalize marijuana, just like the short-lived on-air version of “K-High” in Colorado Springs.

After years of listening online, I found a classic rock station that told of the old AOR format and decried how radio now used a very short list of ‘greatest hits’ songs for their airplay fodder. They said how they only played ‘classic deep cuts’ and you wouldn’t hear the same song for 2 weeks unless they were groovin’ to it. They also played lots of dope humor bits as well as the Cheech and Chong bit you mentioned. Lots of 420. After 6 months they somehow morphed into what they claimed to not be—they were playing the same S every day! They need to lay off the weed. It WAS a good premise...
