A friend of a woman mourning the loss of her three-year-old wrote in to The 700 Club asking what to tell her friend when asked how a good God would let some ill children live but let her child die. In his infinite wisdom, Robertson said that God can see the big picture of life and probably killed her child before he or she could become Adolf Hitler.
Don’t believe me? Don’t think Robertson himself would have the gall to say such a thing to a woman grieving her three-year-old? Here’s the full quote:
"As far as God’s concerned, He knows the end from the beginning and He sees a little baby and that little baby could grow up to be Adolf Hitler, he could grow up to be Joseph Stalin, he could grow up to be some serial killer, or he could grow up to die of a hideous disease. God sees all of that, and for that life to be terminated while he’s a baby, he’s going to be with God forever in Heaven so it isn’t a bad thing."

Pat’s dementia is finally reaching critical mass.
Worse yet, the child could have grown up to be another Pat Robertson.
Freaking lunatic. And if that was the case why did he let the real Hitler live? Or why didn’t he make the woman miscarry or simply never conceive?
If he really said this, he needs to just go away.

My son recently died, and even though I believe that he suffered much in his life, and probably wanted to die, I’m having trouble coming to grips with this, and my never do so. The comment Robertson made would make no sense to a grieving parent. Good people die.
Pat serves a useful purpose for the Left. Any time he makes one of these stupid comments, the Left holds it up as evidence that ALL Christians are looney nutcases who should not be taken seriously.
Just lovely. Throw cow chips at PR while our country swirls around the toilet bowl. Let’s focus on what’s important. /s
That’s all well and good, Pat, but it raises the question: Where was God when Barack Obama was a baby?
He could and should have invoked God’s sovereignty in a more tactful manner.
He wasn’t trying to be vicious or mean, he was just being old and doddery.
He needs to stop talking, poor man.
Or Barack Obama.
There is something wrong with that man and there always has been.
Does Robertson ever ‘walk anything back’ or issue a clarification? This seems like a thoughtless remark to make. The Libs like Alan Coombs are lovin it when this happens, and never fail to replay these unsettling remarks on their shows.
The world is consumed with evil. Children who might have been great heroes are slaughtered before they draw a breath. Pat has lost the presence of God in the face of evil. He equates evil with good and good with evil. Lost in the weeds.
It’s past time for Pat to retire.
He also said transgenderism is fine with God.
