FRANCE, Paris: Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, who was a Republican candidate in the 2008 US presidential elections, spoke at a major Iran Freedom rally in Villepinte on Saturday, June 13, 2015. The event was held at Parc des Expositions exhibition center.
Giuliani said: "The ayatollah must go. He and Rouhani and Ahmadinejad and all of the rest of them should be put on trial for crimes against humanity for the thousands and hundreds of thousands of people they have killed, and it is about time we stop ignoring it. Where is our decency and morality? We have allowed this for years, hundreds of thousands of Iranians slaughtered, more being slaughtered today than before. American soldiers killed by the Quds Force. For how much longer are we going to allow this? What happened to the America that supports democracy and freedom?
In Syria, we draw red lines, and like cowards, we sit back.
We unequivocally support a non-nuclear Iran. What does a non-nuclear Iran mean? It does not mean two months or one year away from being able to have a nuclear missile. It doesnt mean an Iran that will become a nuclear power in 10 years. What it means is Iran should have no, none, zero nuclear capacity because the regime in Iran cant be trusted with it.
There is an alternative: Madam Rajavi, the NCRI, all of you, and all of the people inside Iran, who yearn for all human beings yearn for: freedom, respect, dignity, an ability to live with the religion of their choice and a country that respects the right of women. How could you make that more clear by having a woman running this organization.
I am extremely embarrassed by the fact that my country has broken its promise to people who are now in a concentration camp called Liberty. They lied to us. I am ashamed and I am here to apologize, and we will do everything we can to make good on that promise.
I will not support a candidate who does not have the moral fiber and the courage to stand up to the ayatollah and tell him we are going to do everything we can to get you out and you will never become a nuclear power. I will make sure every single candidate is asked: are you for regime change in Iran?
To the people of Camp Liberty: you bear the biggest burden. You are conducting yourself with dignity and strength and show us what the future of Iran can be. You show us the character of the people of Iran."
Iranians and their international supporters including 600 international lawmakers and personalities attended the rally in support of Iranian opposition leader Maryam Rajavis 10-point plan for a future free Iran.
They indicated that the prevention of nuclear proliferation and the defeat of Islamic fundamentalism call for supporting Irans Parliament-in-exile, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), to bring about regime change.
Hard to build a nuke when you are bombed back to the stone age...
Just saying!
I agree, but Rajavi’s MeK cult is not the alternative, nor the solution.
We should have been covertly aiding the Green movement dissidents in 2009.
“The Ayatollah has to go.”
I read that headline and thought.”Rudy,Omama’s not leaving.”
Wonder what Obie’s thoughts on this are?
What matters is what ValJar thinks, and we all know where her loyalties lie.
Have we had anything good come out of meddling in who rules Iran in the past 70+ years?
Yes, we should brace ourselves. We have seen nothing yet.
Did he mention 9/11?

I think I’m gonna puke
“I agree, but Rajavis MeK cult is not the alternative, nor the solution.
We should have been covertly aiding the Green movement dissidents in 2009.”
Here! Here!
Uh ... I'm pretty sure we were. Either the CIA, Israel, or some other Western entity.
I actually think Rudy would make a good Attorney General. So would Jeff Sessions, but he is too valuable in the Senate.
I’m pretty sure we weren’t
I was initially supporting “the Green Movement” back in 2009. Then saw the ‘reformists’ within the Islamic Regime were actively hijacking the so-called Movement to reform something that cannot be ‘reformed’. I stopped supporting, and said (on FR too) that those outside the Reformists grp should stop too.
The Islamic Reformists were against any Secular non-Islamic group; they were even against traditional pre-Khomeini flags of Iran, and whoever carried those flags in public protests. These Islamic reformists were & still are very much part of the Islamic Regime; they just want more freedom.
In sum, whoever was aiding the Green movement did an extremely bad job of it. They only contributed to jigging up a lot of gullible & innocent people, who ended up either killed and or tortured.
Thank you! I agree with you. The same thing has happened over and over since, and you see the mayhem that resulted.
IMHO, these color revolutions are usually the spawn of the National Endowment for Democracy. That outfit could be justified back in the days of the Iron Curtain when the Soviets were destabilizing our Hemisphere. But, like most bureaucracies, they now just self perpetuate and are causing all kinds of mischief all over the globe.
