I don’t believe it
I do. Just walk down the street and look at how fat America has become. Its terrible
I remember touring some colonial homes and looking at the beds and the clothes, etc. back when I was a boy. I was astounded at the smallness of what I saw. I’m wondering if the average size of Americans has grown overall.
I don’t know.
I think Americans are taller than they were in the sixties. Women over six feet tall used to stand out. They don’t now.
I don’t think people can be taller without weighing more.
“I dont believe it”
I do believe it.
Spend a half hour in Wal-Mart some day and it will make a believer out of you.
This is an average, not a median. All of the huge women are going to really bring up that average. There just weren’t a lot of 300 lb women in the 60s. Not uncommon today.
“I dont believe it”
I do-you almost never see an obese person out here, but this is a rural area with no big chain supermarket-and most of us grow a lot of our own food-but go 23 miles to the next county where a town of 6000 or so has a WalMart and a big chain supermarket, and the wide screen mamas are lumbering up and down the aisles, filling carts with Little Debbies, ice cream and instant mashed potatoes.
I’m Hispanic, 5’9” and 108-110 lb-the same I’ve weighed since I was 17 or so-but I was brought up on a ranch where we didn’t eat processed food and worked hard-I still eat fresh food and work hard.
