Reminds me of my family’s visit to the New Jersey shoreline. We were from California and traveling state to state; Maine, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and then across upper New York to Vermont.
My sister and I, who were 10 and 13 years old, wanted to put our feet in the Atlantic Ocean. A guard on the boardwalk cried out, and stopped us. He told my parents it was illegal, that only residents of that small town we were in could use the beach.
Silly socialists never learned that “Legal Perfectionism” is impossible, a fact know to the Ancient Greeks who addressed the question back then the Greek City/State had only 40,000 ‘voters’. The concluded that as their numbers were too large to achieve the “perfect Laws”, that judgement would remain essential.
From this we can say that some folks just refuse to learn from history.
