He grabs her arm. She attempts to hit him. He punches her in the face.
Although the surveillance video was released Monday, the incident took place June 24, inside Yianni’s nightclub in Tallahassee, Florida.
On June 25, the head football coach at FSU, Jimbo Fisher, announced Johnson’s indefinite suspension for a violation of athletic department policy. Fisher later said that Johnson had been dismissed from the team, effective immediately.
The former freshman quarterback is also being charged with battery.
The woman in the video suffered bruising under her left eye, swelling to the left cheek and upper lip, and a small cut near the bridge of her nose, according to court documents.
The documents say the victim raised her arm to defend herself, and tried to strike Johnson to release his grip. She remained at the bar while Johnson left with others.

I saw that video. He gives her a right cross and you could see that her knees buckled and she was stunned but she remained standing.

What a coward. 100 years ago he’d be run out of town. Today he gets “sensitivity training” and will probably sign on to the NFL for millions.
The woman threw the first punch. This is what we get with today’s women, Title IX, and the NOW bunch. They want equality but when they start something they want to then play the “woman” card.
I hate these kinds of videos. Where is the beginning? Who was talking to who? Who walked up to who? They obviously must have more. Why not show it?
This sequence means nothing to me without knowing what happened before hand.

Doubtful he'll get in the NFL draft now, he'll be lucky if he can sign with a Division I school.

Or, we could flip it, Vendome. Maybe he demanded sex and she wasn’t willing.. maybe he is just a creep who thinks he can get whatever he wants, when he wants it. My point is we don’t know but either your story or mine is completely logical...
OF course she did. She was trying to break his grip on her. Someone tries to restrain/grab me like he did, I'd be punching too.

We must note that she did hit first.
I’m like the person who said it’s really hard to tell from the small snippet. It just bothers me the people next to her just ignore the situation.
The two winners next to her were certainly helpful....especially the one to the far right who just watched the whole thing passively.
The only thing that girl did wrong was hit him with her hand and not a Budweiser bottle. She and I need to talk. :-)
