Rode BART into work in San Francisco for a while. Got on far out before the rush hour filled the car.

As the train got closer to the city, I would get up and offer my seat to women who got on after all the seats were taken.

Without exception — was met with hostile glares.

So instead, I just stopped ever taking a seat and rode in standing the whole way.

Well... it was San Francisco. LOL! Perhaps it is regional. My son and husband offer their seats all the time and thus far.. no slack. I personally refuse to “give into” PC rude behavior. My daughter has offered her seat as well to a very pregnant lady and a granny type. Both accepted with such smiles! Hugs!
