I'm guessing that's it.

Darn it. I’m getting nothing now. Should have left it open to begin with.

Hoagland was always good for a laugh. Late-night is when I get in the mood for the odd-ball stuff and he’s always been an odd-ball.

A different culture raises their girls to have a different perspective on men. Filipino women are apparently raised to be a real partner, supporter for her man regardless of the age of the husband.

You are correct sir. My Filipina is a "few" years younger than me. Though some worry about it, most don't care about age differences. Don't think they are all submissive and have no opinion on things. They are, for the most part, opinionated, and hard headed. If you tell them large amounts of rice, contribute to diabetes, they laugh at you, and go get a big plate of rice. It works for me.

:-)

Just as well I can’t pull it up then. I’ll just go back to watching the fledgling storks in Hungary as they have fun flying around, chasing each other.

Go here http://darkmatterdigitalnetwork.com/.

The show with Hoagland is called, "Other Side of Midnight". Perhaps you can click on the TuneIn Radio link to open it up.

A CA Guy wrote: "When the youngish wife died in her sleep years ago, he soon found this other wife and moved away and was only doing short wave."
Not quite. His dear wife Ramona died during one of her many severe asthma attacks.

Art went through a rough period grieving the death of his wife, as most would. Concerned over Art's grief and subsequent depression, a few of Art's dear departed wife's extended family introduced Art to the woman whom he eventually married.

His wife then applied at the local US Embassy for a visa and since the visa she applied for as wife of an American citizen was going to take longer than what Art had to return to Pahrump and continue his show from there, Art then continued his live Coast to Coast show from the Philippines.

As I recall Art either paid for his own T1 line or sent his live show via satellite to his many affiliate stations.

It was a power outage during a typhoon which made doing his live show very difficult. He had backup generators as most do in the Philippines but somehow it then became impossible for him to take live listeners' calls.

Art Bell stayed in the Philippines until his wife's visa was eventually approved.

That one works. I was trying the pop-up player that I used for Art’s show.

We’ll see how I last with this. He used to entertain me but that was a long time ago.

Good night, MHGinTN. Sleep well.

I’m up all night any way so I’ll give him a chance for a little while. Not sure how he’ll hold up as a host. He was entertaining as a guest.

When he built that antenna array, he had some problem with it, some kind of noize or other issue that he traced to electrical voltage that should not have been present ot had no obvious source.

IIRC (It’s been a while) he originally thought it was static electricity/wind derived but he tried isolating it and couldn’t. I can’t remember for sure if it was volts or amps but whichever it was, it had no scientific reason he could figure at the time for being present that he could determine.

iYep. Art Bell and Rush Limbaugh have been two of my favorites. I remember listening to Art Bell even before he transitioned in to his current form, when he was doing political talk. Back in that day it was either AM night time skip or listen to the audio on the big ugly satellite dish out in the backyard. :)

I remember finding him in early 1995 when recovering from an auto accident and I had trouble sleeping. I remember when he talked about politics more and he had two callers, "Charlie Liberal" and "Dr. Democrat," despite their politics, they were a howl. I had to pick Art up on WKBN, Youngstown, OH, WWVA, Wheeling, WV or WRVA, Richmond, VA since Pittsburgh did not have an affiliate.

If I just go with the flow, I can imagine I'm back in the days before Obozo. What a warm, wonderful feeling that is.

Me too. Heck, things are so bad now, I even miss Bill Clinton. I can hear him on 5085 kc the best. I remember suggesting in the 1990's that he should go to shortwave.
