It wouldn’t suck for Trump’s friends, the Clintons. Not that the Holy Donald’s intentions would be less than above board and altruistic, of course.
Imagine if Trump were to get the nomination. Cruz is probably the only one who would support him. First of all, the gopE would not allow him to run as a republican. If he took it to court and won they’d actively campaign for Hillary.

Except you are assuming an awful lot. The same dynamics that got Mitt the nomination still apply. If Trump leaves, only 1 candidate has the money and the media backing to win. Without 100 million dollars, or the media, Jeb wins.
