It was a funeral procession like no other.
More than a hundred truck drivers came together Friday to pay tribute to a little boy who loved monster trucks, but never got to see a monster truck jam.
Three-year-old Elijah Steffen died earlier this month from a rare bone disease.
Thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Elijah was scheduled to be a special guest at a Monster Truck Rally in Las Vegas. But he died before he could attend that event.
On Friday, Elijah's family invited truck drivers to join the hour-long funeral procession through Mesa.
The procession of vehicles included everything from semis and pickup trucks to heavy machinery and firetrucks. There were even tow trucks and off-road vehicles in the convoy.
Good God, that is sad.
Mine too. I think we have the same monitors.
Me too.
Man I can sure think of folks I’d rather see exit this dimension
Poor kid.
