To my recollection, Patton didn’t fear the Chinese - or anyone for that matter.

LOL—a few days ago, we had a thread asking if Trump is like Reagan. Now . . . .

And while Patton was an outstanding General, he was a horrible public administrator. Even before political correctness he would get in trouble for saying outrageous things.
We need Pattons. We also need Eisenhowers. They each have their roles.

Trump’s belief that growing government by raising taxes is a non starter. He’s jumped on the big government, class warfare liberal train.

I liked Patton’s comment about when he flew over Germany’s ruins: “I now know what Hell looks like from the top.”
If Trump gets in, I hope he says the same thing as he flies over the GOP-e.

Actually I think you can improve on your comparison.
Yesterday a single post announced that Trump is our new Washington, Reagan, and Putin (!).
Claiming that he’s only Patton is doing a disservice to his shining magnificence.

When we were in a terrible war and needed a destoyer, we had Patton. We are not in war. We need a builder. We have Trump.

Patton was on TV yesterday, only saw the last hour his race to Bastone, I shed a tear two times in that hour. What a country this was, and what great men it once produced, gone with the wind.

What is interesting about the Patton movie was that they had General Omar Bradley as an adviser. He was there and knew Patton quite well. That made the movie even more authentic.
