Not that long of an article, but brings out some very interesting points in lieu of Russian S-300's making their way into the region..I look forward to other's comments surrounding Israel's (probable) response..

Thinking About the Unthinkable: An Israel-Iran Nuclear War Unthinkable? It's a foregone conclusion. Obama will go down in History as the stupidest leader ever. People will curse his name.

If that war occurs, we must fight against Israel under the Iran treaty. Republicrats sponsored legislation to change the clear treaty requirement of 2/3rds approval to a common statute whereby if the congress votes against this horror, obama gets to VETO that and then we the people must OVER RIDE the veto. Can you believe that? Do you understand what a flip that was? Do you care? It was CORKER/MCConnell!! They sponsored it !!!UCMTU

...its initial strike must move very fast and be conclusive within 1-2 hours, like the Israeli air attack opening the 1967 Six-Day War. The goal is to so stun the regime that Israel controls the first and subsequent phases of the war and its ending. This means that Israel must hit enough critical targets with maximum shock and be willing to revisit or expand its targets so as to control blowback and retaliation from Iran's allies. In essence, this involves a very fast-paced Israeli redesign of the Middle East in the course of a nuclear war for survival. Idiot. The last was was an air war. This one will begin and end in about eight minutes.

If this happens, it will be one of the fastest wars in history. I’d give it one day.

...Israel needs to impart a powerful, disorganizing shock to the Iranian regime that accomplishes realistic military objectives: digging out its expensive underground enrichment plants, destroying its Arak plutonium reactor and maybe Bushehr in the bargain, killing its bomb and missile professionals, scientists and technicians, IRGC bases, its oil production sites, oil export terminals and the leaders of the regime where they can be found.
Seems to me that it's far too late now. If Israel was going to do this, it should have been done years ago. As it is, they'll face the usual international condemnation and more importantly, this time they will face US government opposition, since Obama has taken it on himself to remove Iran from it's international pariah status. If Israel isn't certain it can completely destroy Iran's nuclear capability, it will face immediate retaliation - possibly with a stray Iranian nuke - while the world and our government look on and do nothing, or cheer, like Gwen Ifill.

Yet the Russian Tartos naval base was protected by SA300s but that didn’t stop the IAF from operating within the “umbrella”. So we maybe be making a bigger deal of the 300 system than it really is. SA 400s - another kettle of fish.

The clock is ticking for an Israeli response. That clock was started by the senate democrats a few days ago. What happens when this deal is in place will be MAD and too bad. Israel the clock is set and time is not on your side since the US will be obligated to defend IRAN!!!

Most important paragraph - one the West seems bound and determined to totally ignore:
“The Iranian elite’s ideology and controlling political psychology is inherently preferential towards nukes and direct population targeting as a way to implement Shi’ite messianism and end-times extremism. Iran is a newly nuclear apocalyptic Shi’ite regime that ranks as the most blatantly genocidal government since the Khmer Rouge’s Sorbonne-educated leaders took over Cambodia in April, 1975. Senior Iranian officials have periodically tied nuclear war to the return of the Twelfth Imam or Mahdi, which Iran’s previous president anticipated within several years. This reflects not just the triumphalist enthusiasm of a new arriviste nuclear power that just won more at the table than it dared to dream. It also reflects a self-amplifying, autarchic end-days theology that is immune to both reality testing and to Western liberal/progressive tenets about prim and proper nuclear behavior.”
In other words, Obama and Kerry just gave Iran the way to begin nuclear annihilation of the total human race - their goal, and Obama’s legacy.

Better that Israel arrange for Iran to have a nuclear “accident” (with plausible deniability) than to let them get the bomb at all.
