A few years ago we were on a road trip from Kalifornia to Florida and stopped at a Texas hill country rest stop...there was an itty bitty Smart Car there with Florida plates.

We figured it was an RV's towbehind, but no - a gray haired lady came out of the restroom, hopped in and headed east. We caught up with her a few miles down the road as a semi was passing her in the left lane -- her little ride got a definite case of the wobbles during that maneuver.

Hybrids I like, they make sense. Electrics mean no long distance travel. Smart car??? What were the Germans thinking? Maybe “Iff zee rhest off Europa tinks zis ist gut ve vill vin next time.”
