I am exactly on the opposite side of the globe, and working in the private sector.

Your attitude is wrong, it is anti-American, and anti-liberty.

We clearly differ but I characterize my attitude as simply anti-muslim. They don't simply belong here. In my opinion, stereotypes exist for a reason. And when it comes to those who follow the satanic "faith" of islam, they don't (and should not) be given the benefit of a doubt.

Thanks for the response. Yes, Free Republic has a worldwide reach and we here in America are sometimes not cognizant of the timezone difference when we have our give-and-take.

Do you get the Rush Limbaugh program over there? I realize that streaming is nowadays everywhere but sometimes it's easy to just turn on the radio, especially in a car, and listen to him.

Since you took the liberty of editing my comments, I'll do the same to you:

"The [Muslim] kid is not innocent. I can see it in his [Muslim] face in the pic as he is being led away. WHEN did [the Muslim] get the “NASA” shirt? Not tool long before this happpened, I bet.

Well said and totally spot on, FRiend! I'll bet [the Muslim kid's] even got some Dallas Cowboys gear handy to try to blend in and pose himself as a real American. One word: taqiya"

You really, honestly, truly don't think you sound ridiculous? You think this kid is wearing a NASA T-shirt as some kind of cover for nefarious activities, instead of just because he's a nerd and likes NASA?

McKinney pool party; Sandra Bland; high school clocks...

Texas police are on a PR nightmare roll here in 2015.

You forgot Waco.

No. I listen to Rush occasionally when driving in the US, but there’s no English-language radio here, much less Rush Limbaugh.

I don’t care for TV or talk radio anyway, as it takes too long to get the information when someone is speaking. Reading is much, much faster.

Well, no. I don't think anything I wrote is ridiculous. Not one bit in the least.

As I hope I've made clear, muzzies are highly skilled practitioners of taqiya. The devil is a cunning master of deception. Recall that the 9/11 terrorists who lived in Florida before their cowardly attacks did a superb job of blending in. The landlord of the apartment where some of them lived characterized them as model tenants. At the nearby health club, they ingratiated themselves with other members and posed themselves as just regular guys. With those servants of satan, one must remember they're always acting. To reiterate, they are not to be trusted nor tolerated and must be always under a cloud of suspicion.

Please don't take this wrong -- since there's not About page for you, just what is religion? I'm sure you've seen mine -- if not, check it out since it's pretty transparent about what I believe.

With all due respect, I don’t care about your religion. This thread is not about you or your religion. It is about a 14-year old American (unless you can prove otherwise) kid whom got arrested for taking a stupid little electronic gizmo to school.

It’s not all about you, despite some of your nuttier comments on this thread.

I do appreciate that we have something where we're not at constant loggerheads.

But things may turn evev worse between us. I understand you're partial to the vi editor. As for, it's vim. (Betcha thought I was doing say emacs). Sure, they have the same heritage but I have a former colleague who considers the latter just short of apostasy. He barely tolerates nvi but if it ain't the real McCoy from Bill Joy... :)

vim is an enhanced version of vi. 75% of the systems I use run vim and the other 25% are running vi.

The fellow I mentioned, the vi purist, opposes vim because the arrow and other positional keys are supported out of the box. He’s strictly an “hjkl” guy for navigation and hates PC-style keyboards because the control and caps are in the wrong place. He’s quite a traditional guy when it comes to computing in spite of being a decade younger than my going-on-74 years.

By the way, the police say that they only arrested 14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed because he could not explain to them what his thing was. Why couldn't he tell 'em it was just a clock? I suspect one of the reasons is, it didn't look like a clock.

Supposedly, he had shown the device to his "engineering" teacher, who told him his gadget was neat but advised him not to show it to other teachers. If that's true, his engineering teacher should have been able to put a quick end to this gift to Obama and embarrassment to Irving. Why wasn't this engineering teacher consulted before dialing 911?

If anything, I blame the muzzie yute. He defiantly rejected what the engineering teacher told him. As Rush Limbaugh pointed out, he took that same defiant attitude to the Irving PD. As I understand the sequence, it was the English teacher who contacted the police. Public school or not, I can't imagine someone who teaches English being skilled enough to readily identify a device like that shown in the photos. I went to a private Christian college and my Bible professor, a very wise man, would not have been able to discern the nature of the gadget.

But the overarching point remains that adherents to islam should not be given the same treatment as Americans. I unabashedly favor a double standard and fully support profiling.

Send this to Megyn Kelly...she admonished one of her staged audience members that suggested Obie is a Muslim. “Everyone knows he is not a Muslim!” Per Miss Kelly.
