I was becoming concerned that the problem was on my workstation.
Looks to be a minor issue with FR, not malware on my end.
I am experiencing the same thing.
All links in the top left are generating the following message:
The site ahead contains malware
Attackers currently on freerepublic.com might attempt to install dangerous programs on your computer that steal or delete your information (for example, photos, passwords, messages, and credit cards).
