A bit of classic B-movie sci-fi for our second feature. Scott Carey (Grant Williams) is exposed to radioactive fallout, and begins inexplicably shrinking. Doctors can't help him, and the cat and the spider in the garden begin to have plans of their own for our hero...

I agree. Quite the downer.
Sounds very poetic, but without Christ it is just whistling in the dark.
Sounds vaguely reminiscent to the eulogy given by Robert Ingersoll for his famous atheist brother Ebon:
"...We cry aloud, and the only answer is the echo of our wailing cry. From the voiceless lips of the unreplying dead there comes no word; but in the night of death hope sees a star and listening love can hear the rustle of a wing...."
Even the atheist, who denies God and an afterlife, still 'hopes' for a light, a star...
There is no hope, but in Christ. He's the solid rock, and all else is shifting sand.
I liked it too, and I liked another one called âThem,â with James Arness, James Whitmore, Fess Parker, William Schallert, and, at that time, an unknown actor, by the name of Leonard Nimoy.
I just looked at my satellite images and your house is surrounded by giant ants. LOL
I like that movie, too.
A great movie, especially late at night.
Well, I was wondering what I was looking at outside. I remember the old dude, "make me a sergeant, charge the booze. Make me a sergeant, charge the booze."
” I remember the old dude, “make me a sergeant, charge the booze. Make me a sergeant, charge the booze.”
LOL That was a good scene. I bet those old guys were actually skid row bums.
They looked like it. One rather glaring error they made, was Nimoy was wearing an Army uniform, I think it was E-6 stripes. Then, he was seen in a USAF E-7 uniform. I hate it when they do that.
:-)
I have never seen this whole movie. I always catch it about the time he’s fighting the spider. I love the ending. So much so, I put it on my FR home page.
Good eye. I pay attention to things like that, too.
And Nimoy was probably way to young to be an E-6.
I ran across this Leonard Nimoy flick where he is actually a commander of something for once. In this case a sub.
