I think they were. That's one of the reasons that William F. Buckley separated his magazine from them in its early days.
Well, now you know. And I was once a member, so I know what I'm talking about.
The JBS isn't "officially" anti-Semitic, but they pull conservatives into a worldview that is anti-Israel and expose them to classic anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and Nazi materials (like Nesta Webster and Prince Michel Sturdza).
Their hero is Ron Paul and they are extremely anti-Israel.

My first in-laws were Birchers and very anti-semite. I was interested in the society at the time or at least reading the literature, they’re on of the reasons I started watching Buckley on PBS to seek a different view point.
