The GOP keeps selecting unelectable candidates. Foley was a disaster; they could have beaten Malloy with someone half-way decent.

Alan and Gerald Zordan own Borgeson Universal Co. in Torrington, which produces the finest steering components and has operated in Torrington since 1914.

Break on through to the other side!

Hopefully they don’t move to SC and vote lefty still - some people are thick like that.

“The GOP keeps selecting unelectable candidates. Foley was a disaster; they could have beaten Malloy with someone half-way decent.”

So true. The CT GOP are inept — they throw up a Romney-like Republican against a wildly unpopular incumbent Democrat. Sound familiar?

For some unknown reason, Connecticut can’t understand why companies and individuals want to leave. Just like liberals can’t comprehend why liberalism just doesn’t work.

I know many of the one who did exactly that - lived in NH and MA for several years each. They left MA because NH was cheaper and they could still commute into MA. The PROUDLY voted the same and ruined the state.

The COLA in New England is very high unless you are in remote areas, or the distressed areas.

congratulations! We left Redding CT for Georgia and never EVER regretted leaving. Deer ticks, high taxes, RT 7, Merritt Parkway, I-95, LIBERALs, pot-heads, arrogant Aristocrats, snow, ice, liberals, mobsters. The Nutmeg state costs to much.

Just tell people its a nice place to be FROM. Palmetto State is Great!

People in CT would like to insult you further by raising taxes again so long as it is “fair”.

Damn, I just moved to the town next to Redding last year. From Massachusetts! Out of the frying pan and into the fire. And I thought taxes in Massachusetts were bad.

That said, Fairfield County is a phenomenal place to live - so long as you stay off the Merritt, Route 7, I-95 and I-84. And stay far away from Bridgeport - which is the armpit of Connecticut for sure.

I've learned a lot of backroads.
