Simpler to just use a "texting app" on the tablet. Funny thing is the tablets have "speech to text" function, so you can talk, but message is sent via text. That "speech to text" works on email too. Pretty nifty.

I got a tablet a couple years ago, only because it was "free" when daughter demanded a smartphone. I had no idea what use a tablet would be, to me. Ends up quite handy. "Free" ends up being $10/month to ride along on AT&T cell tower, but that gets me GPS maps, handy when away on business in places unknown to me, "nearby restaurants," access to e-mail, guitar tuner, metronome, kindle reader, plays music, mobile banking (deposit by photo), "Savings Catcher" at Walmart, camera, video conference. It can do more, but that's about all I use it for.

Thank you for the link! It takes me forever to send a text with my cell phone. I now have it set up to where I can send texts through my email using my keyboard. Just tested it by sending a text to my hubby and it worked! Thanks again!
