We had an old black employee that worked for us for 20 years. Finally retired at 74, but could still outwork any 20 yo. I spent hundreds of hours riding to and from jobsites with the man.
He told me many, many times to never ever trust my black friends as they would turn on me in a heartbeat when they got around other blacks.
Had it happen to me more than once.
