PARK SLOPE: A day after announcing it would implement a three percent "Affordable Care Act surcharge" to pay for employees' health care, a popular local pizza joint said it'll remove the charge from menus because some customers viewed it as "anti-Obamacare," owners said.
Franny's on Flatbush Avenue raised prices and added the surcharge Tuesday in an effort to give more money to their cooking staff and pay for employer-mandated health care required by the ACA, they said.

uh...why, YES! It is “anti-obamacare”!
We’re so happy you noticed!
That pizza looks gorgeous!
They got strong-armed by the government. Customers had nothing to do with it.
The charge will still be there. They simply won’t name it.

Hmmm. Horse head in the owner’s bed?
Just jack the price of the pizza up 3% and be done with it.
They probably still think it's free and are using EBT cards to pay for their pizza...
Cowards.
It’s time to stand up against these petty tyrants.
F U B O!
Nothing like putting yourself in the breech. Smarter move IMHO would have been to downsize to 49 employees even if it meant shutting down and mothballing or selling off assets until Jan 20-something 2016 and see if we are out of the woods....
The dude was charging $18 for a takeout serving of effing spaghetti and meatballs. Only a liberal nitwit would pay that... and only a liberal nitwit would protest a dollar increase in price when it was specifically referencing to the cost of 0bamacare. Screw em. Just up the price to $25 and DON’T cite 0bamacare or some SJW/Warren Wilhelm-pushed minimum wage hike to $15/hr that is around the corner.
“Â it’ll remove the charge from menus”
They removed the charge from the menus. But did they remove the charge?
It’s New York. If they had blamed the increase on republicans there would be no outcry.
