Three Dog Night is an American rock band. They formed in 1967 with a line-up consisting of vocalists Danny Hutton, Cory Wells, and Chuck Negron. This lineup was soon augmented by Jimmy Greenspoon (keyboards), Joe Schermie (bass), Mike Allsup (guitar), and Floyd Sneed (drums). The band registered 21 Billboard Top 40 hits (with three hitting number one) between 1969 and 1975. Mainly a cover band, it helped introduce mainstream audiences to the work of many songwriters, including Paul Williams, Hoyt Axton, Laura Nyro, Harry Nilsson, Randy Newman, and Leo Sayer.

Three Dog Night discography
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Three Dog Night's original recordings were released by ABC Dunhill Records (except for 1983's It's A Jungle). In 1973, executives at ABC Dunhill (Jay Lasker is usually blamed) decided to discard all of their multi-track recordings and mono masters to save storage space in a cost-cutting measure. [1] As a result, all re-issues on CD have been remastered using album masters (sometimes second or third generation tape) which often results in an inferior sound when compared to other catalogs of the era.

One factor in what's happened to the memory of Rock is the Rock and Roll "Hall of Fame", which elevates what's commercial and/or bizarre, instead of what's unifying and uplifting.
Joy To The World, among many other songs on this album, bring back so many great memories and hopes! What a great album to share with others over the holiday season. This is the kind of music we should be enshrining for future generations.
Have a wonderful holiday season.
“Joy To The World, among many other songs on this album, bring back so many great memories and hopes!”
Yes, I tried to find a YouTube version of the full album, but chose this one instead when It wasn’t to be found.
“Have a wonderful holiday season.”
And you as well....
I got to interview Chuck Negron about four years ago for a book I did with Mark Stein of “Vanilla Fudge” for our book, “You keep me Hangin’ on.” Chuck had fallen on hard times, and as I recall had sold his Grammys. I think at one point he was living in a box on the streets.
They were HUGE in the early ‘70s. I remember in 1975, Casey Kasem had them ranked #3 behind The Carpenters and the Jackson 5, but ahead of Stevie Wonder, Pal McCartney and Wings, Elton John and Jim Croce (RIP).
I'll have to dig deeper for the other albums by them, see if I still have them. I lost some of my collection to mold over the decades...sigh.
Thanks for posting.
Cory Wells was a friend of mine (he was a historical board wargamer as am I) and we got to play a few games together.
We were hoping to get together soon for more gaming when he passed.
He is missed in many ways.
Mine were mostly the early Avalon Hill, lifetime subscriptions to SPI S&T and Moves!, and some S&T non-subscription titles (War in the East, the Next War, etc.). Used to tinker with modifying AH Blitzkrieg and SPI Blitzkrieg Expansion Module to fix the air and naval rules and the map.
Never got the expansion module, but I still have my copies of War in Europe. I have quite a collection actually, but, it isn’t growing to much these days.
As I live on a sailboat, most of my stuff is in storage and only some of it is easily obtainable. If I ever get some shelving in there, it will be better.
