That could be super cool. An entire new class of materials can be created this way and there’s no way there will not be some materials created without some valuable properties.

That’s what I was wondering - especially if used in cars. But I wonder if it could be used for engine blocks (?) - if internal combustion engines are “allowed” in the future.

Cool stuff. But what about corrosion in the Magnesium substrate? That is a really weak point with Magnesium. Not at all rare on the earth (and in sea water), but all in a oxidized state. “Rusts” like a SOB, if you will.
