Rendell: Any Dem Will Expose Trump's 'Lack of Knowledge' In a One-On-One Debate (Video)
Breitbart ^ | 12/24/2015 | Pam Key

Posted on 12/27/2015 2:38:04 PM PST by conservativejoy

Thursday on MSNBC, the former Gov. Ed Rendell (D-PA), also the former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, said in the presidential election debates, any Democrat,Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT)16%, Martin O'Malley, or Hillary Clinton will "expose" Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's "lack of knowledge about things like the nuclear triad."

Rendell said, "I think any Democrat,Bernie Sanders, Martin O'Malley,one-on-one with Donald Trump would be very advantageous. Donald does well when he controls the agenda. When speaking to a Trump rally. Even in the debates, nine, ten candidates, you know, moderators don't get to press him on substantive issues well. But in a one-on-one debate in the fall, whether Hillary Clinton or any Democrat, Donald Trump's lack of knowledge about things like the nuclear triad will be exposed to the public big time. And I don't think he'll seem ready to be president at that point. "

When asked about Donald Trump's tweet telling Hillary Clinton to be careful, Rendell said, "Let me tell you, with everything that Hillary Clinton's been through in her public career, Hillary's not afraid. She's not afraid of anything. She's seen it all. She's heard it all. She's been attacked by people a lot tougher and a lot smarter than Donald Trump."

I think Cruz would be far better to take on anyone in a debate on the issues.

Hillary is a programmed moron and people have already caught on to that Fast Eddie. You on the left, and those equally on the right, keep underestimating this guy, and don’t get the anger of the majority of the electorate.

I agree with that, but I think everyone keeps underestimating Trump’s abilities to connect with the American electorate.

Lack of knowledge and use of knowledge is two different things.

Hillary had plenty of knowledge re: Benghazi BEFORE the event...and did nothing.

That will be the game plan. Try to trap Trump with some wonky ultra detailed question.

Either Trump or Cruz would sink the Dems like a two-foot put.

And for good reason too. Had she not had willing allies in
the media she would have been exposed as the lying shrew
she is.

Imagine this spot:

Hillary’s ad about answering the 0300 call in the morning and the phone keeps ringing and ringing and ringing, a bottle of Scotch is beside the phone. A subtitle says, WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE!

Trump has “won” the debates by votes being cast before the debates even started. He is popular with his fan base, but the battle is for the undecided voters.

If I am an undecided voter, I am not going to be persuaded by attacks on Bill Clinton’s sexcapades or Hillary’s bathroom breaks. I think those people want to gain some understanding of a candidate’s knowledge and positions on the issues.

I don’t think Trump is particularly knowledgeable in many areas. It has been obvious even in the debates so far and will only be magnified if he goes one-on-one.

These RAT talking heads live in another world, immune to reality. Their world view is splintered into minute pieces of reality, none of which contain any truth.

I don’t know why she hasn’t been hammered with that 3 am phone call remark after Banghazi. If the PTB are waiting for an opportune moment, I would say it’s coming up soon.

Good ad, but it has nothing to do with debating. I’d love to see an ad like that in the general.

That is a very good point and one I agree with.

I would just add that you've identified one of the things that can become a real problem on political forums: most of us are more or less committed to voting against the DNC, even if not yet for the GOP, so we don't need that much convincing on that point. The uncommitted voter, however, does need persuading, and as you point out, fixating on those things is not going to win over the uncommitted.

SO I wanted to see if I knew what the nuclear triad is. It's important to know said Ed Rendell a Washington inside.
By the way I have BS and MBA, read multiple information sources, read books and stay informed. My answer was USA, Russia and China. When I Googled it, I was wrong. So what does that mean? Well Ed 99% of America doesn't know and doesn't care.
Asking any normal person that question is like asking Granny how to form a company, hire people, put processes in place, market your product and make a profit. She and all you Washington insiders wouldn't know.

Trump will take that question other stupid ones flip them right back at you and show how little you know about what Americans care about.

[[Rendell: Any Dem Will Expose Trump’s Lack of Knowledge]]

But yet no one fretted over dear leader’s complete lack of knowledge and incompetence? Even after 7 years he still isn’t capable of handling the middle east, and if it wasn’t for his teleprompter, would be incapable of showing any kind of intelligence when it comes to presidential duties-
