Obama not really changing gun law, only helping FBI/BATF
The story... | 5 January 2016 | Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin

Barack Obama is not really changing gun law. He can't. What he IS doing is creating more jobs for the FBI and BATF and increasing the manpower of both agencies for future use. Also, he is stirring people to anger to be able to mark those who react the most for future reference as well. Don't play the game.

He’s not requiring anything new.
Buyers have no reason to get an FFL.

Sorry, I don’t remember the answer to that one offhand (been a long time). I would guess that the BATFE has a manual or other information resource on the Web for dealers, though. Back in the ‘70s, a hardcopy manual was published. It was easy to obtain.

Good point. Start with Chicago. Surround certain neighborhoods without announcement and start confiscating illegal weapons. It will take trucks to take them out.

This is just as evil as taking weapons from anyone else. We have an enumerated constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Yes, that includes the Chicago thugs. As long as they keep it in their pants, I have no problem with them owning a gun. The second they kill somebody other than in self-defense, they are a murderer, and they need to be locked up or executed.

We must be very careful who we are willing to take rights away from. We may turn around one day and find it's OUR rights being taken, and there's nobody left to defend us.

You don’t want one. Too many requirements, and the BATF can come check on you at any time.

They don’t avoid background checks through trust or corporation, they avoid county law enforcement sign off, there’s still federal background check. Obozo and Co. don’t even know the law

Congress could defund the FBI and BATFE, if it had a spine.

“Not bloody likely, mate.”

You forgot the hard part that involves unannounced visits to check “paper work” and other things that usually prohibits FFL’s from even enjoying an extended vacation.

Yep. I’m aware of that. That’s why I disagree saying “Yay! Goody goody!” to the article I linked to. For the hundreds of thousands of people (myself included) who have NFA trusts, if indeed Obama is going to eliminate them, then it probably means going through the whole background check process all over again, which takes months, lots of additional paperwork, and I’m sure it won’t be free.

It ranges from $200 to $9550, depending on what level you want to take it to.
Here’s the FFL pdf; scroll down a bit, costs are on r/s a few clicks down.
I work p-t for a friend’s med-lg gun store, and he buys all levels for the many products
he mfgrs and sells.

Methinks the BATFE is going to slam into a 4th Amendment issue when they over stretch the definition of “business” into private residences (say, just because someone uses their cell phone to process credit cards for private sales).
