One of our active duty servicemen had a run in with a liberal, and taught her what âprivilegeâ really means. According to a Facebook post shared by Hrtwarming.com:
The soldier (name obscured here) posted his story on Facebook so that people would know that there are still people who honor those who don the uniform:
"As a military vet who has served two tours in Afghanistan, and I'm still on active duty now (though I'm now stationed locally in the US) I don't expect special treatment from civilians for my service, but I do know that many stores offer discounts to active military personnel and so I usually ask cashiers if they offer the discount.

Uuhhhh...no - let's keep the clickbait over on Facebook. The story is inaccessible without wading thru layers of pop-ups, pop-unders, an air of Weekly World News coverage, and general technical trash. In addition, this sort of thing is impossible to verify, assuming you arrive at the "story" in the first place.
Even so was a good read. And true or not I would like to believe this would happen
"You'll never believe what happens next..."
"Watch Beyonce's hilarious response..."
Such crap used to be limited to publications like People Magazine, aimed at the low intelligence crowd.
Now it's appearing everywhere...even in the MSM. What has happened to America?
I admit that - back when this phenomenon first began appearing - it took me two or three clicks to learn better than to try to find anything of value in all such articles containing obvious "come-ons" in the title.
Now I'm grateful, since they immediately inform me that it's not worth the bother.
Regards,
Very nearly rises to the level of a poorly told tale.
Also add the following to your list.. Anything with "weird trick" or "odd tip" in the headline.

While patriotupdate.com came up "clean" it is loaded with pop-ups and frankly a lot of crap.
Over Christmas, my niece told me about an article she came across that a friend of hers had posted to her FB page about a man who had been stranded on a deserted island for 9 years (sort of like the movie Castaway only supposedly true) until a little boy in Minnesota saw the SOS the castaway made on the beach via Google Earth, notified unspecified "authorities" and the castaway was finally rescued.
Heartwarming and amazing tale to be sure, but completely made up.

My niece had shared the false story on her FB page but took it down when I and others pointed out it was false.
You obviously missed the last season of South Park.
I think there was a similar thread about this same Patriot Update yesterday and it was pulled for some reason. Anyone know why?
I wish FB would ban them. Anything that ends with “wait until you see what happened...” then you have to wait ten minutes for the article to upload and it’s usually disappointing.
“Giant asteroid to strike the earth overnight. Story at eleven.”
Still smells like a BS story. And no I’m not turning on Flash for any clickbait sites.
Thanks, much better.
I couldn’t get through to it ads in the way.
Well it DID say you had to wait.
Using the words patriot, freedom and liberty in their titles seems to be all the rage among the “send us money” crowd.
It quickly got out of hand and devolved from the intent of the thread to squabbling back and forth between posters. JimRob pulled it.
I didn’t click through after reading the comments, but I can say as a service member that the vast majority of Americans are very good to military members. In my 20+ years in uniform (10 in reserve), I have only had two negative encounters-both minor. I couldn’t begin to count the number of handshakes and thanks.
On a previous deployment, a couple even bought my lunch while I transited through Chicago O’Hare. I don’t generally care much for Chicago, but their kindness did much to renew my faith in middle America.
