Trump Says Illegal Workers Make His American Resorts Great
News Machete ^ | 1/11/2016 | Ed Straker

Posted on 01/11/2016 10:26:48 AM PST by conservativejoy

Donald Trump is fond of saying that he was the first to talk about a border wall or fence, but back in 2013 when Ted Cruz was pushing an amendment to create it, Donald Trump was actually meeting with a bunch of illegal alien activists to boast about the many illegal aliens who work at his resorts.

...at his New York penthouse office atop Trump Tower, he convened a meeting.

Trump ushered in a pair of men - one to talk about the awards and a Democratic strategist who works with nonprofits - and three young DREAMer activists. The DREAMers were on a tour sharing their stories with those less likely to support them, like tea party supporters.

"You know, the truth is I have a lot of illegals working for me in Miami," he told them, using the term for undocumented immigrants those in the meeting found offensive. "You know in Miami, my golf course is tended by all these Hispanics - if it wasn't for them my lawn wouldn't be the lawn it is; it's the best lawn," Pacheco recalled Trump saying.

Trump said he knew the work of undocumented people is what makes his golf courses and hotels great.

Make America Great! That's Donald Trump's cry. And in Donald Trump's mind, it's illegal aliens who make his resorts great. Then Trump addressed the issue dear to their hearts: amnesty for illegal aliens:

"You've convinced me," Trump said to the delight of the activists in the room.

"We all smiled at each other and said, 'Wow, we did it, we got this guy to change his mind,'" Pacheco said.

Trump was "convinced" to support citizenship for illegal aliens. That's old news, and Trump-bots will claim he has changed his views in two short years. But what is news is that Trump has admitted that he employed large numbers of illegal aliens and undoubtedly still does today, in 2016. How can he credibly run for President on a platform of deporting illegal aliens when he currently, today, employs large numbers of them? Why has he never tried to verify the identity of his employees? If he is content employing large number of illegals, how sincere can he be about deporting them?

Trump's like a bank robber running for president of a bank while still employing robbers to go out and rob banks.

In fact, Trump, who talks incessantly about "bringing jobs back to America" has repeatedly tried to import foreigners to take jobs away from Americans.

GOP 2016 frontrunner Donald Trump is staking his campaign on promises to bring jobs back to America, but a new analysis of U.S. Labor records shows that Trump’s business have imported more than 1,100 foreign workers on temporary visas since 2000. ' One of Mr. Trumps companies, the elite Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, applied to import 70 foreign workers to serve as cooks, wait staff and cleaners this month alone, Reuters reported Friday.

Nine companies that are majority-owned by Mr. Trump have sought to bring in foreign waitresses, cooks, vineyard workers and other laborers on temporary work-visa programs.

Why couldn't Trump fill those jobs with Americans? Because he wanted the cheapest labor possible, and he cares nothing about giving jobs to Americans.

Trump has said he wants to deport illegals and "bring the good ones back". From his own personal business dealings, which continue to this very day, it is clear that he is a hypocrite who cares nothing about the illegal alien problem as long as it helps him line his pockets. I think he will bring all the illegal aliens back. A man who has changed political parties at least five times, leaving the Republican party twice before, cannot be trusted.

There is no such thing as a quote, Hispanic race, unquote. It is a strawman invented by so called liberals. That term has been applied to those from individual South American countries some of which have governments hostile to US and actually claim parts of this country as theirs, and others which are friendly. They are composed of various races as we are, with the difference being their primary common language is Spanish.

Besides flooding the labor market with cheap labor which reduces job opportunities for American citizens in a diminishing base. Highly infectious comunicable diseases are also pouring through this uncontrolled border creating serious health problems.

This destructive utopian Mexican open border approach of even considering granting those who enter the US illegally through it. Entitlement to all benefits beyond those of what we give to our citizens destroys the value of an American citizenship. It is being promoted by the name callers mostly in socialist circles such as the democrat party as well some republicans who use such terms as nativist promoting racial division .

What we should be doing is taking a very very hard look at our relationship with Mexico along with trade and its myriad misstreatment of Americans as 3rd class citizens and its claims on American territory . There is no doubt there are hundreds of complaints, if not thousands, from American citizens who have retired there. Along with travelers running to American consulates about conditions that are going unreported because of this Mexican policy

While we are expected to allow Mexican citizens enter to our country illegally and offer them preferential treatment over our citizens allowing them to purchase land in their own name and and even voting privledges which they cannot do if they choose to retire in Mexico.

The leading Republican candidates and that includes Trump may mention some of this but thus far have refused to identify the problem let alone properly redress it by suggesting or implementing reciprocity.

Since the Mexicans are permitting foreigners transit through their country for illegal entry into ours. Any person entering illegally through that open border whether a bona fide citizen of Mexico or not should be treated as if they were a Mexican and tossed back to Mexico and let Mexico deal with them. Illegals should be offered the same rights as Americans. No property ownership and voting rights let alone access to the multitude of costly programs comm9ng out of US taxpayer pockets.

If reciprocity were implemented there would be no need to worry about who will pay for walls or border fences.Illegals would leave on their own accord . And the value of being an American citizen restored.

“Many states are currently working...”

But not all.

“with all the building that Trump does, he is aware of this and undoublty uses it our he would be fined....”

Trump is probably aware of the laws, but that does not mean he follows them. Trump supporters already admitted that Trump financially supported democrats at all levels of government in order to do business. That is called bribery and IS illegal in EVERY State.

Besides, E-verify is NOT the law everywhere so Trump could still hire illegals under the table, knowing that most of his dem cronies do the same thing so nobody will likely call him on it.

Basically, what you just admitted is that you made a totally unfounded, if not, completely false statement supporting Trump, but tried to pass that statement off as a fact.

It would have been better for you to say that you HOPE Trump uses E-verify, rather than doubling down on claiming that you know he uses it and “has this handled” when in fact you have no idea if Trump uses it and you have no idea if Trump does employ illegals.

That kind of dishonesty by Trump supporters is why so many are losing credibility and turning everyone else off on Trump.

Cruz’s history is what Trump says it is. The same is true for Trump’s history it is what ever he says it is at this point in time and is subject to change without notice.

Here is the opportunity. Now realizing that what employers, including him, had to do to stay competitive has been harming American workers, he will lead the way in cleaning up the mess and enforcing the law. Suddenly, lots of HELP WANTED signs for the Trump organization.

This is what I mean by the cult of personality around The Donald. “At least he admits it.” IOW, Trump can do not wrong, even when he does.

Cruz fought the amnesty bill in the Senate and proposed a killer amendment to it. He also posted a petition against it.

Unfortunately, he got outvoted. But he did whatever he could to try to stop it.

If that were true, he’d only be using LEGAL immigrant labor — which is fine, although obviously in a perfect world, we’d all prefer that those jobs go to Americans.

But he’s essentially admitting that some of his projects use illegals.

Who is Newsmachete?

I get asked this question a lot. But I give no answer. There are a lot of crazies on the internet, and I prefer not to identify myself.
I will say that I am an attorney. I will also say I went to top Ivy League schools, plural.

I am also fascinated by passage in Neal Stephanson’s book, Cryptonomicon, where a character corresponds by using the email address “root@eruditorum.org“, and the person he emails says, “Why won’t you tell me your name?” And his answer is, “I already have. You just haven’t attached any significance to it.”

His name was Root.
It was obvious, out in the open, and yet hidden all the time.

If I were to leave a clue on this page about my identity, I would do it in the same way.

Get a life.

Many candidates for elected and appointed jobs have been scuttled for employing illegals. Linda Chavez is one who comes to mind. Why is Trump different?

I remember that and I also remember that Cruz supported a huge increase in H1B visas until recently (after Trump got in). My point is that the candidates who could have actually done something didn’t for whatever reason.

Those visas are supposed to be for jobs that can’t be filled by citizens, due to a shortage of skilled applicants.

I read an article on FR several months ago with info from the Florida Workforce Commission (or whatever it's called). It stated that Trump does job postings, and most people in FL are not applying for seasonal jobs that pay $9.00 an hour, so he fills the jobs with legal/ visa migrants.

I am more likely to believe the FWC, than MALDEF/LA Raza affiliated dreamers.

He also supported huge increases in H1B visas until Trump got in and Cruz had to get right on that. I know Cruz was against amnesty but IIRC, he said earlier this year that (before Trump got in)’we need to secure the border and then decide what to do with the illegals already here. He has changed his tune on that also. I voted for Cruz for Senate and like the guy, I am glad he got straight on those issues. I suspect his changes have much to do with Trump.

“It stated that Trump does job postings, and most people in FL are not applying for seasonal jobs that pay $9.00 an hour, so he fills the jobs with legal/ visa migrants.”

Labor is a commodity. Like any other commodity, it is subject to supply and demand. Just because Americans don’t want those jobs at $9.00 an hour doesn’t mean there aren’t qualified Americans who can fill those jobs. With our unemployment numbers, there are certainly more than enough Americans to fill those kinds of unskilled menial jobs, they just might demand more than $9.00 an hour to do them.

This is almost exactly the “touchback” provision of the 2007 Bush amnesty law that we fought and defeated. That provision was one of the reasons why.

Now, when Trump proposes it, suddenly it’s “tough on immigration”?
