February had 29 days in regular years and 30 days in leap years after Julius Caesar’s reform of the Roman calendar, until Augustus took a day from February and added it to August (so that his month would be as long as July, named for Julius Caesar). So a white guy was already scheming to shorten Black History month 2000 years ago. Talk about being pro-active.
