Well, I did download an unlicensed copy, from Microsoft, to install into a virtualbox (on my Mac) to check it out.
Not real impressed. Tiles suck! And all the crap you have to turn off so it’s not constantly talking to Redmond; and even then you can’t really be sure unless you have a sniffer running on something else.

I was sitting here on my computer maybe about a couple of weeks ago... and caught windows 10 freaking downloading in the background, without any kind of notification.
I wonder how many other people Microsoft has nailed like that?
I run Windows 7 via Parallels on my Mac. It’s really nice.
I despise the tile things so I install Classic Shell for the same look and feel of Windows 7.
I just installed Windows 8.1 on a MBP (again, Parallels) and it was really nice to know that during the install you could configure it to have the look and feel of Windows 7 - a nice surprise!
