I'm not from the south, but have lived there and enjoyed the culture. My father was born on a farm in Clermont county Ohio. The saying I often heard was, 'but for a few miles and a river...'. Yes, but for the river we would all be"briars"!

Born & grew up in Claremont Co. until we moved to Hyde Park. I have wonderful memories. It was like being in the country, but w/ neighbors.
